For vendors

Proof from the barns that will buy your product.

Aiken, South Carolina has been a working equestrian town since the 1890s, with hundreds of barns across every discipline inside a ninety minute drive. We run structured field trials of your product in 15 to 50 of them. You get a market profile, measured results, quotable verbatims and a written analysis your team can put in front of a buyer.

The name and one line about it.

Do you sell through dealers in the Aiken or Augusta area?

What you get

  • Market view

Who tested: barn size, facility type, what they use today, where they buy, what they spend.

  • Results view

How your product performed against what each barn uses now, buy intent, price point, switch intent.

  • Verbatims

What barn owners said in their own words, quoted by name only where the barn agreed.

  • Written analysis

Plain language, three takeaways and one recommendation. Every response exportable for your own analysis.

How a trial runs

  1. 1

We talk. Your product, where you sell today or plan to, and what you need to learn.

  2. 2

We agree the trial. One agreement covers scope, barn count, timing and what you receive.

  3. 3

We match barns from the network by what they use and what they need. No open call.

  4. 4

Barns complete a short market questionnaire, pick up at Menden, then use the product.

  5. 5

When the product has had time to work, the product questionnaire goes out. We chase it so you do not have to.

  6. 6

You get a live results link while the trial runs and the written analysis when it closes.

Most trials run eight to twelve weeks from agreement to analysis. The product sets the pace, since a fly spray proves itself faster than a supplement.

Who runs it

  • Jeanette Lampe, Menden Equestrian

    Jeanette Lampe

Jeanette Lampe runs the barns. Founder of Menden Equestrian and a sporthorse trainer in Aiken, she knows the barns in this corridor by name and hands over every bag of product herself. She is the reason barns answer.

  • Derrick Lampe, Mucked & Measured

    Derrick Lampe

Derrick Lampe runs the program. Twenty-five years leading revenue and operations for B2B software companies, through two acquisitions. He designs the trials, writes the analysis, and owns every number in the report. Nothing in it is shaped to please anyone.

A barn counts when it finishes the second questionnaire, not when it signs up. You supply product for every barn we recruit, including the ones that do not finish. Pricing is per trial by tier. We cover it on the first call.

Good fits

  • Equine products and barn supplies.
  • Priced so a trial quantity per barn makes sense for you.
  • Barns buy it again, monthly or seasonally.
  • Results show inside the trial period.
  • Sold anywhere a barn can buy it, dealer, online or direct.

Not a fit

  • Capital equipment, unless you supply loaner units and cover all logistics.
  • Anything that needs a veterinarian.
  • Fencing.

Our rules

  • Results are results. We never shape a finding to please a vendor.
  • Barns get product, never cash.
  • One vendor never sees another vendor's barns or results.
  • Barns decide whether their name and barn can be quoted, trial by trial.
  • We report what barns observed. We make no health or veterinary claims.

We will tell you what the barns said. We will not tell you what you want to hear.

Questions vendors ask

Can we contact the barns?
Only the ones that opted in to hear from you. Their contact details are in your export.
Can we use the quotes in marketing?
Yes, for any barn that agreed to be quoted by name. We mark those in the report.
Do other vendors see our results?
No. Your trial is yours.
What if the results are bad?
You get them anyway. Most vendors find the negative verbatims are the most useful part.
Can we write the questions?
You draft up to eight product-specific questions. We edit them so they do not lead.

Tell us what you make.
